2024 Dao Prize – Honorable Mention


 

Gabe Kaminsky is a runner-up to the 2024 Dao Grand Prize and received $10,000 for his coverage of a Biden White House executive order that allowed partisan nonprofits to influence voter turnout for the Washington Examiner.

Gabe Kaminsky is an investigative reporter for The Free Press. He covers the intersection of money, politics, and influence in Washington, D.C., where he is based. He grew up outside Philadelphia and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.

He previously won an award from YAF’s National Journalism Center for excellence in investigative journalism in 2022, before the founding of the Dao Prize. Gabe is a graduate of YAF’s NJC program.

Kaminsky has bylines in the Federalist, the Daily Wire, and the Daily Caller News Foundation, the Washington Examiner, as well as his current role at The Free Press.
